Aromatic Substances (Flavorings) and Colorants for Animal Feed
Domů 5 Aromatic Substances (Flavorings) and Colorants for Animal Feed

Our flavorings and colorants effectively enhance the taste and appearance of feed for both pets and livestock.

Flavorings are added to animal feed to enhance taste and aroma, thereby increasing feed intake, helping young animals adapt to new feed, or masking unpleasant odors in certain types of feed. The suitability of flavorings must be verified through preference tests with animals, as human evaluation is not reliable due to differences in sensory perception and preferences. For example, sweet feeds appeal to cattle, goats, horses, and pigs, while sheep prefer spicy flavors (caraway, anise, fennel), and cats, as carnivores, are attracted to meaty flavors. Preferences for certain tastes and aromas also change as animals age.

For coloring animal feed, we offer food-grade colorants (both synthetic and natural). These colorants make the feed more attractive to animals. This is particularly useful, for example, when coloring feed for chicks and turkey poults, which prefer green and blue feed.
